Ragging complaints: Madhya Pradesh ranks second in country

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh is in news for all wrong reasons. The state stood second in the country in the number of ragging complaints. As many as 51 complaints of ragging were reported on University Grant Commission website from MP in 2015 first quarter  so far, second only after Jharkhand  where 62 students lodged complaints

The last five years' figure show an alarming rise in number of ragging complaints in 2014 compared to the last year.

In 2009, 40 ragging complaints were registered by students. Next year there was a marginal dip with 33 complaints registered in 2010.
