  • By both being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, they became united by the in the same struggle for children’s rights: Malala Yousafzai from Pakistan, and Kailash Satyarthi from India.
  • Kailash Satyarthi said that what mattered more was the relation between the people of both the countries. He added that the citizen of both the countries must live in harmony and peace.
  • On being asked if both were aware about the stance of their countries' Premiers' attendance at the awards ceremony, Malala said that she had got no positive response from the PM of Pakistan and India on her invitation to the Nobel Prize Ceremony. • It is high time children fought for their rights. Children must speak up and stand up for their rights. One must raise the voice. Our voice against the Taliban brought the change: Malala.
  • Reciprocating Satyarthi's affectionate remarks, Malala says, "I am honoured to sit with my father" pointing towards Kailash Satyarthi, who is grinning.
  • I hope, along with Malala, I can take the struggle for children's rights forward: Kailash Satyarthi
  • Malala's like my daughter. She is the bravest child one can think of. I am lucky to be sharing the award with her: Kailash Satyarthi
